PATRICK: Alright yeah look at that. All right hey guys thanks for tuning into the PTZ optics Q1 partner webinar. My name is Patrick Kirby and you know I’ve been working at PTZ optics for a while now and I’m here with Margaret Will man.
MARGARET: Hi guys thanks for tuning in.
PATRICK: Margaret has an extensive experience in audio-visual sails. Quite some time in other technology sales yeah. You know there’s lots going on. Tons of technology these days.
MARGARET: Alright so just so you all know obviously this is on YouTube. So feel free to use the live chat there in YouTube to ask any questions. At the end we have giveaway. It is going to be one of the RS 232 joysticks. So make sure you’re paying attention to every word. That we say and.
PATRICK: It’s extremely important [chuckles] this isn’t a bait-and-switch.
MARGARET: So yeah joystick and what we’ll do is we are going to type the question into the chat at the end. Whoever answers it correctly first wins the PTZ the joystick, that RS 232 joystick.
PATRICK: And apologies we also have Matt Richards here in the back with us. You want to say hello Matt? Tell you where you from.
MATT: Sure yeah thank you for joining. I think there’s a slide to introduce me. But that’s alright. My name is matt Richards. I deal with our partners on the west side of the country. I’m located in the Salt Lake City area. So I’m in Mountain Time and that helps me communicating with partners on the west coast.
PATRICK: Great year and you know so hopefully we can also add some extra support to you guys out in the west coast and kind of stack the hours here a little bit. Because we know us on the eastern coast, Eastern Standard Time it can be [02:26 inaudible]. So anyway moving forward we got a quick agenda here for you guys to start. This killer live stream.
MARGARET: Can you just read through that whole thing so they can hear. [Chuckles]
PATRICK: We’re going to read everything. Because you guys tune in to YouTube to read stuff. So you know just quickly we’re going to go over the channel managers.
PTZ Camera Live Show Agenda
MARGARET: I was kidding.
PATRICK: I know, just go quickly and then.
MARGARET: Alright so let’s introduce the team Patti. So I’m Margaret well man channel development. I forgot to mention earlier our partners email addresses [email protected] so if you want to get the attention of the entire team please send your questions to that email address and we’ll respond. And then if you’re placing orders, the orders email is [email protected] And we each have our own individual email addresses as well. So next.
PATRICK: I am Patrick Kirby partner manager. You know I have experience with the east coast. You know channel development and as well as international partners. I speak a little bit of Spanish. So hopefully I can get to know more of you guys. Got moving forward. Matt here’s your slide. That’s not important. You don’t need to know Matt. right so one of our lead support technicians. This is Andy, Andy Chatfield he’s a great guy. He does technical support. Ticket assistance product compatibility. if you have any questions or use cases or you have a scenario where you have a client is looking at one of our cameras and wants to you know test it out or make sure it works with his use case or his software or his switcher or whatever he is using, Andy is a great guy to get test it. And here’s Sean Regan adorable face right there. He is a new tech support that we brought on. He’s a great guy. Some of you may have worked with him. Once again support at PTZ optics that gets sent to directly I believe Shawn and Andy. So Matt do you want to go over the camera control options again.
MATT: I love to yeah. So just like with the huddle cam line we have handheld IR remote for all of our cameras. And we also sell replacement remotes and now you see the ski right there along with pricing. For joystick controllers we have two options. We have a rest- joystick for a hardwired connection there. And then we also have an IP joystick which will show a little overview video up here. This is going to be fantastic camera joystick for using multiple cameras on your network. These will just dial up. We’ll just connect to your cameras using their static IP address that you assigned to them. Very simple pan-tilt-zoom. We also have presets on here which are easily set and called using the keyboard buttons. Along with the presets you get focus, iris and zoom just with keyboard buttons there. So that’s a really nice [05:56 inaudible]. Along with the hardware controller we have software options which are available for pc and mobile devices including tablets and smartphones. And these software options are very robust. They include all the
Features that you would get with a hard wired controller. Including virtual joysticks, presets, image configuration. So lots of options there for control.
PATRICK: Yep yep the software options include, you know once again Matt said very robust. They have you know, you can schedule presets. It has pan tilt, you know panning options. So you can do it. So it’s great alright. So moving into the cameras here quickly see. We have udemy. Udemy whatever. It’s a, udemy courses is available for you. These go over everything about the cameras alright. So not only the cameras getting setup as live streaming. Introduction to the camera, into the camera lines, different options, camera settings yeah and this is all free. One for our partners and our clients. You know also for your end users. So if you have end users you know just recently got one of our camera. You can send these to them. This will help them get set up with live streaming. You know putting it on the network. You know the network vs USB HDMI or SDI. You know so there’s plenty of information here not only for our partners but also for your clients and whoever you might have using our cameras. Hopefully you know that will address some questions and help your clients get more comfortable with our cameras.
MARGARET: Alright so big announcement. The SDI models are shipping with POE now. SDI models only. The Texas Wi-Fi option is also still available for USB models. So that is a new announcement that on power over Ethernet is available with the PTZ optics SDI models.
PATRICK: Yeah that’s been a pretty popular request. You know a lot of people do look for that. You know it’s definitely come up. It is sometimes it’s often easier just to extend an Ethernet cable. This will be Power IP stream and control just like putting it on your network but it’ll give you power. If you have a USB model or you have a scenario where you have an older camera, the Wi-Fi Texas is still a great solution to get that POE. And you know once again the options are there so it’s POE. It’s still simultaneous so you can still do POE, the IP stream, the SDI and the HDMI out. So that’s available for you.
PATRICK: Ok right new ceiling mount plate. This has been a situation where we’ve had the one-inch pipe thread mount for a while. But we’ve kind of left people to you know go get their own ceiling plate or go kind of get their own solution. We’ve now come up with this for you. So you have the ceiling mount plate that you can drop the pipe from and that’s available for you as well and that should be on the price list and now it’s kind of more of an entire solution to help in your installers, your customers, your use cases, whatever you’re possibly mounting to the ceiling.
MARGARET: while we’re on this slide, don’t remember. Don’t forget [chuckles]
We have a lot of options on the price list. So there’s cabling options, the joysticks, and the amounts, remote. So don’t forget to you know offer those options to your customers.
PATRICK: Yeah and they are on the price list and once again I’m trying, they are on the price list they usually come in 25 foot increments. Mm that’s about 10 meters. No that’s about like seven meters, eight meters and something like that for our international friends.
MARGARET: Right yeah they were showing the site with all those part numbers and sues and options for the cables.
PATRICK: That’s SDI, RS 32. So various control options, various control cables. [10:49 inaudible] 25 foot increments from 25, 50, 75,100 feet on the priceless for you guys. Once again we try to make it so it’s a nice easy solution for you guys. And we do actually offer custom cables. So if you do want to reach out about a custom cable. If you have a specific job or you need X amount of cable let us know and we can help do that as well. But we do have pre-terminated cables as well. Just too once again offer you guys a solution. You know so you’re ready to install when you get there.
BACKGROUND: Question about pricing. [11:29 inaudible] pricing increase for the POE models.
PATRICK: Pricing increase for the POE models maybe depends who you are. No it should be the same. It’s a feature we’ve just added. So that’s available. We try to continue to add value. Because I do plenty to take away. [Chuckles] but once again you know we try to add value into our cameras without necessarily subtracting it. So no price increase and it should be available now. So it is shipping with the new models. So feel free to get those orders in and we’ll get you some POE. We will get you some power over Ethernet.
MARGARET: Just a reminder we have MSRP pricing to increase your margins. We also offer map and map protection. So on our sites we always list the MSRP pricing.
PATRICK: Yep MSRP in all our sites. [12:35 talking in between]
MARGARET: Yes please report any map violations that you find. We will ask that vendor to make an adjustment.
PATRICK: Yep we try to take care of that for you guys. You know because this race to the bottom is scrupulous to say the least.
MARGARET: Alright so outdoor camera enclosures. We work with a few companies for enclosures. Dot works we have one installed on our outdoor camera right outside. So there’s the part number to get the, to receive the pricing you have to actually contact dot works directly. It’s not something that we sell or offer. So we just wanted you to know it’s there. If you have any outdoor complications.
PATRICK: Yep kind of like the Wi-Fi Texas thing. You know it’s a third-party partnership. We can’t offer it on the price list. But it is a popular request. We hear you guys, you know so it’s hopefully a solution we can now offer for you and this is outside of our office. As you can see it’s an outdoor weather enclosure.
BACKGROUND: Show me the camera and we’ll check out.
PATRICK: Okay yeah apparently we do have a live demo. We tried to get a live demo up so hopefully. Great.
MARGARET: There it is. There’s a live feed from our camera.
BACKGROUND: Device manager or free application.
PATRICK: Yep so on, yeah device manager that’s free. I believe that’s on our website so you should be able to pull that up. You know pull our cameras up in this software it’s free. It’s on our website. This is outside of our office you know just over the IP interface going over the zoom, pan tilt zoom.
BACKGROUND: Arena based on stadiums.
PATRICK: Yeah we’ve gotten plenty of requests. You know for sports field, baseball fields would be a big American one. Soccer fields I guess you know would be popular. Football I get football no. football international now.
BACKGROUND: High school level, college level.
PATRICK: Yeah yeah plenty of use case scenarios where people are looking for get on HD camera. You know a lot of times these solutions that are presented end up being security cameras or they try to get by. Oh there is Sean.
MARGARET: If you haven’t met him yet there’s our new support guy Shawn.
PATRICK: Why isn’t he at his desk? So anyway you know this has been a solution we’ve heard from several of you guys. So you know keep the solutions coming. We try to present these solutions for you guys. you know so if you do, if you are looking for outdoor enclosures we have worked with that works to get one that fits our camera and is available for you guys. It’s the D3 Camera enclosure. Part of the D3 class. That’s their part number. D3-CD-HP and they also have a power kit for it.
MARGARET: Yeah and they have heaters too.
PATRICK: Yeah they have a couple more but it’s the D3 class I guess what you want to be looking for that works with our cameras.
MARGARET: Alright so the new playbook this is up on the site. PTZ optics playbook and the link is there. I’m not sure you can see that very clearly. So we can send that to you. But really covers how you would use the cameras and streaming in specific markets. So for corporate, education, house of worship. So we would give you some ideas and your customer some ideas on you know how to use these cameras and how to stream.
PATRICK: Yeah and it’s really just about use case right. So what we see, what our partners are seeing. Where we fit. You know things you can do. Things you can add on. We got wiring diagrams. You know for various markets. You know house of worship has been popular for streaming. Corporate has been very popular for you know distance learning and videoconferencing, education, distance learning and lecture capture. So we’ve seen you know a lot of use cases. Please feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions and once again we can bring it full circle to Andy Chatfield and Shawn Regan if you have questions that we haven’t yet figured out.
MARGARET: So it’s another resource available to you.
PATRICK: Yep we try and keep the resources coming and if you have questions or ideas that we can help you with [17:14 inaudible]
MARGARET: Alright now frame rate. This some question comes up with support. So we just wanted to review frame rates and what we support while you’re all here in the webinar. So you can see there what we support. We’ve listed it there on the slide. We do have documentation on in our knowledge base about this. if you see a frame rate that we don’t support there is a decimator model available that can help you bring your framing, our frame rate to the broadcast read that you need.
PATRICK: Yep and really quickly that just the broadcast framerate stuff is. You know the hard frame rates were 1080p-60. yeah full frame rates is you know 1080p versus you know the broadcast of 1080p-59-97 or 29, 97,59.94 you know oftentimes various switchers are looking for different frame rates. So this is just a scenario where you know it helps address that. There’s also scenarios where some switchers might even though they don’t take, you know 29-97 they will take 1080i-25. Or 1080p-30. So oftentimes there’s various settings that you can just switch it to a different frame rate and that’ll pull in just fine. We have seen that solution. Other than that you know moving forward with some of the live streaming stuff, if you’re moving to imp-based workflows or live streaming computer-based workflows none of that matters. You know most pc applications except full frame rates. So it just depends on what you’re using for your switcher background and the frame rates you’ll need. So any more questions you know feel free to shoot us an email or support at PTZ optics, we will also help you get the right model you need.
MARGARET: Alright so we have a new user group. So we’d like you to join that if you can. It’s via Facebook. The address is there to join or just go to Facebook and find us and please join. So you can all talk about how you’re successful with PTZ optics.
PATRICK: Yeah and we should be the only PTZ optics group on Facebook. Right don’t fall for the imposter PTZ optic. Which there shouldn’t be. But you know this is for once again our partners, our end-users. You know this helps facilitate the conversation. You know a billion-plus users and Facebook streaming is quickly entering the market. You know and we’ve seen a lot of success and interest in people trying to live stream to Facebook in their own internal groups. So once again first Facebook or YouTube, there is lots of stuff there. But generally you’re going to want to probably dabble in both platforms. When your customers are going to look for both. So feel free to check us out on Facebook as well.
MARGARET: Alright so new deal registration. We encourage registration of opportunities. Once you register the opportunity. It’s valid for 90 days if it’s been approved. It needs to be ten thousand dollar limit or minimum sorry not limit. [Chuckles] and when you do fill out the form you’ll be asked to select a distributor. So have that mind when you go to fill out the form.
PATRICK: And just very quickly here it is PTZoptics.com / deals and you know just some very easy questions. Like model number, you know username. Couple questions that get sent straight to management. We look at it. Ten thousand dollar minimum not limit right you don’t want to keep you going over $10000. But you know let us help you guys with these projects. We want to help our partners as much as possible. So if you have an opportunity let us now and get it registered and we will reach out.
MARGARET: Alright so this is new as well. You can now stream directly to the cloud. Huge!
PATRICK: Yeah this is big. We’ve been working on this for a while and our latest models should be able to accomplish this. Alright so it is. Noticed little star. It is the SDI models only. I guess the SDI models got the major upgrades. I’m sure we’ll be moving somewhat for the USB. But you know usually USB is into the pc. Generally speaking you know people looking for direct streaming. Pros and cons here just to consider. Right so if you, if you just want to you know send something directly to the internet that might be good. There is the line in on the back of the camera for 3.5 millimeter Mics. Once again there’s various Mics that will fit that. But you know maybe like you know she streaming kittens or you know streaming puppies or something like that. That’s good. That’s good for streaming to Facebook or you know straight to YouTube or whatever. If you’re going for production, more of a production style you know scenario, chances are you’re going to want to still use some sort of broadcast software. Tricaster, Phoenix, Wirecast one of those.
MARGARET: xsplit yep.
PATRICK: Yeah so just talk to your customers see what they’re looking for. You know and with the outdoor models I could see the outdoor models, the outdoor enclosure. I could see that being popular straight to the cloud right. So baseball fields and stuff like that
BACKGROUND: Really affordable church setups camera and an audio feed. No setup always streaming to, church streaming that TV.
PATRICK: Yeah various streaming platforms that
BACKGROUND: Low budget.
PATRICK: Yeah where you just don’t have the extra pieces.
BACKGROUND: Easy live
MARGARET: Yeah right too easy live.
PATRICK: Right to easy live. You know we got.
MARGARET: It’s a cloud solution for streaming.
PATRICK: Yeah we got a little you know box here. So that YouTube wows [23:55 inaudible] cast, dream spot.
MARGARET: My face is covered with the boxes as well.
MARGARET: Actually I was thinking while we’re sitting here talking. We haven’t let Matt talk at all. Matt.
PATRICK: I mean yeah. Matt it’s all yours. Take the floor.
MATT: What’s next?
PATRICK: I think we have a [24:22 inaudible] yeah in the marketing campaign.
MATT: Yeah the marketing campaign in the box is a fantastic resource. We update this you know every few weeks and just make sure it has all of our data sheets, manuals. Just about everything that you would need to get up and running as the dealer. Whether you’re just getting started or you’ve been with us for a while. There is just a, it’s an endless resource including logos, even sample email templates free to use for marketing to your customer. So this is something that, I believe we will put the link in the chat or you can reach out to us for it. But this is a great resource that you can use in the future.
PATRICK: Matt actually you should know more about the streaming directly to the internet know. Don’t you check the weather cams for all the mountains?
MATT: I do, I do yes. Yeah so that’s a really nice speech. Let me just add it and I do pretty often I’m always checking [25:31 inaudible] nice feature.
PATRICK: Yeah so Matts out in Salt Lake City and gets to ski all the time. So he’s often checking the weather cams.
MATT: That’s right.
PATRICK: Direct to YouTube. And it is easy to.
MARGARET: The POE he set. He set up.
PATRICK: Yeah POE you’re right and it’s easy to embed a YouTube feed into your website. You know they give you the code and then just you know put it right there. It’s super straightforward. But yep you know a quick video going over the PTZ optics here. Showing you all the things we work with. You know so. Some lady this live streaming. YouTube star. Are we a YouTube star enabler?
MARGARET: Alright so there’s some other partner resources listed there for you. Application diagrams. This is all on the site or let us know if you don’t have access so we can send it to you directly. The design tool that actually helps a customer design their room and we’ll print out a budget number for them right there. Marketing campaign in a box, reseller spotlight. we’d love to have you on our live show as well every Friday for PTZ optics at 8.00 p.m. eastern [26:54 inaudible] cam HD 1.00p.m. Eastern every Friday. Demo units are available. You have the partner management team available to help you out. We have our knowledge base and tech support team and any custom meetings that we can set up for you and your partners and your end-users. Let us know we’d be happy to do that.
PATRICK: Other than that I think we covered most of everything.
MARGARET: Now before we forget. We are doing a giveaway. Ok so we are not going to read out the question. We’re going to type it in chat in the YouTube chats. So we will just give you a minute to make sure you’re in chat and you can see the chat window. Tess is going to type that in there and a little bit. The first person to answer the question correctly in chat wins and RS 232 joystick. Correct. Ok so Tess I think we’re ready. Go ahead and type it in.
PATRICK: Suspense is killing me.
MARGARET: An RS 232 joystick. Tess will be typing the question into YouTube chat whoever answers it correctly, whoever the first person is the answer the question correctly will win the joystick. So there it is. Does PTZ optics use solid frame rates broadcast or both? Virtual set works. Got it right. Solid.
MARGARET: We reviewed that on a slide earlier and now we do have a decimator to that you could work with to convert any frame rate
PATRICK: Once again you know feel free to reach out to us. Questions you guys have [Music] help you. You know and let us know any ideas. You know we still, we strive to present a solutions. You know with the camera control software, the udemy courses, POE that’s available. Ceiling plate and the outdoor enclosure. So feel free to let us know what’s working and what we can do to help you guys.
MARGARET: Alright thanks for joining.
BACKGROUND: Give people chance to ask questions.
MARGARET: Oh do we do question and answer sorry. [Chuckles]
MARGARET: [30:07 talking in between] I think most of the questions were answered in the chat. But someone wanted the Udemy link. I think we put that in there. And it’s also in our PowerPoint and it’s also on our website. So if you don’t find it let us know.
PATRICK: We will be adding it to the description.
BACKGROUND: PTZ optics and huddle cam courses are free. The other courses you get all the coupons for free. But you have to fill up the landing page and you have the coupon.
MARGARET: Okay so the courses are free. But if you want our coupons from our site to offer [30:43 inaudible] customers we have coupons.
PATRICK: PTZ optics and huddle cam udemy courses are free. Some of the other ones, if you let us know, if you fill out the form, you can get the coupons. The PTZ optics playbook we will try and add to the description.
BACKGROUND: It’s in the description.
PATRICK: Ok along with the udemy courses.
BACKGROUND: I just tried it. It works.
PATRICK: Alright that should be working with double check.
MARGARET: Let’s see the POE models are shipping. [31:19 talking in between] yeah they’ve been shipping. So you probably have them in stock. But any new models that go out from here from a certain serial number on will have POE.
PATRICK: Apparently we did add it towards the end of last year. So past 60 days your SDI model might have POE.
MARGARET: And that did not increase the price at all on the models. On the SDI models.
PATRICK: Same price.
MARGARET: We need to learn Turkish apparently. Camera is kumara.
PATRICK: We will work on Turkish.
MARGARET: So we will work on that for you.
PATRICK: I guess let us know any other languages that we should be doing the same.
MARGARET: Yes we actually can help you with webinars in other languages. And so I think that was all the questions.
PATRICK: Once again feel free to reach out to the partner email and we will and yeah we will be in touch thanks everybody.
MARGARET: Thanks everybody.
PATRICK: You know and we’ll stick around for another minute or two.
BACKGROUND: Just give it a minute because there’s about 60 seconds delay. If anyone has a last.
PATRICK: Finish my coffee.
MARGARET: Still working on the Playbook.
PATRICK: We are having no problem with the playbook. [32:52 not clear]
Yeah okay some people having trouble with the link. I don’t know we’re not internally. But reach out to partners at PTZoptics.com and we’ll get you the right leg or just the playbook.
MARGARET: Barb said you’re a great Udemy instructor Paul. Thank you very much. Thank you from Paul. And then the frame rates we covered that. Support solid.
PATRICK: Control set work’s we’ll be in touch.
MARGARET: Now it’s okay.
PATRICK: Yeah, yeah if you’re having issues with the link just email us.
Alright cool thanks everybody. Thanks for joining. [Music]
