Connect IP / NDI Cameras to EasyWorship

NDI IP Cameras in EasyWorship
There are four easy ways to add cameras into EasyWorship using the Feed Editor. You can have a USB connected camera, which will show up as a media source. This is perhaps one of the easiest ways to get a live camera feed into EasyWorship because you only need to plug it in via USB to your computer. Next, you can use an SDI or HDMI camera using a capture card. In our presentation, we show a Magewell SDI capture card being connected to a PTZOptics SDI camera. SDI is ideal because it allows you to run the cabling hundreds of feet without any issues. USB and HDMI generally cannot be run long distances without issue. Another great way to bring in multiple cameras into your computer is to use a PCIe capture card with multiple SDI or HDMI ports on it. This will allow you to connect multiple cameras to EasyWorship through the feed editor. Finally, the latest way to add cameras into EasyWorship is over NDI as you can see in the picture above. This way allows you to connect a PTZOptics NDI camera anywhere on your network and pull that video feed directly into your EasyWorship software.

Add Video Feeds into Easy Worship
Let’s take a look at the EasyWorship Feed Editor available inside EasyWorship. This is where you can add additional live video sources into any of your presentations. Once they are put into the software through the Feed Editor you will have access to display them in any of your slides. You can start by entering a name for your live video feed. You can select from your available video input devices using the drop-down menu. Once you have selected a source from the drop-down menu you can then choose the resolution, aspect ratio, and audio properties.
Connect EasyWorship to Live Streaming Software

Adding EasyWorship to vmix or OBS
Another great way to use EasyWorship is inside your video production software such as OBS, Wirecast, xSplit, Livestream Studio or vMix. In the picture above, you can see that the pastor has a three monitor setup. He has his live streaming software on one monitor, EasyWorship software on a second monitor and finally a Full-Screen EasyWorship output on the third monitor. This is a great way to bring EasyWorship into your video production using just a single computer. But there is another way to bring EasyWorship into your video production software using multiple computers. You can use the NDI video output from EasyWorship to connect the output to another computer.

Connecting a Second Computer to EasyWorship
This is ideal for example if you would like to provide the output of EasyWorship to the Pastors Laptop. In this way, we are starting to think about video production and church video in a world of IP. We have a couple PTZOptics NDI cameras on our network. We also have EasyWorship and our Pastors computer all on the same network. Now we can connect everything together using the NewTek NDI and we don’t have to run any traditional HDMI cables!
