Tom Sinclair joins us for the World Studio Tour
PTZOptics is thrilled to be joined by Streaming Idiots host and owner of Eastern Shore Broadcasting. Tom Sinclair, the official Streaming Idiots Facebook Group moderator lets us tour his home broadcasting studio live on YouTube and Facebook! This episode is full of good fun and surprises. If you are a fan of live streaming and especially the Streaming Idiots show you are sure to enjoy this episode.
As Paul and Tess interview Tom in this interview, the conversation turns to the live streaming market and starting brick and mortar stores to support local businesses. Tom lets us know that he will be opening a store in Fairhope, Alabama inspired by the StreamGeeks studio in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Tom lets us know that helping small businesses with live streaming services, as seen on the latest StreamGeeks Episode (here) has inspired his business to open up shop in his local community.

Toms latest Custom PC Build
As always Tom is busy building custom live streaming computers. We were able to peek into his studio in the midst of multiple computers builds. As you will see in the video, Tom has the top a test broadcast computer removed to allow for constant testing of new live streaming parts to be added to his Windows computer builds. Tom will use Windows-based computers with vMix installed almost 100% of the time so that he can fully support his clients with a platform that he understands and can troubleshoot.
vMix Reseller of the Year 2017!

vMix Reseller of the year
By the way, we couldn’t help but notice that Tom Sinclair had on display his vMix reseller of the year for 2017 award! It was fitting to see so many complimentary products on his bench including multiple PTZOptics cameras awaiting the NDI firmware upgrades. Tom also had on display multiple xKeys USB controllers which are complementary to the vMix software along with his custom PC’s that are in the build process.

Tess’s first live broadcast
We also talk about Tess’s first ever live broadcast, including the stressful thoughts of going live and value of supporting each other throughout the video production. When Tess first started working at PTZOptics she had to broadcast the live show own her own which included everything from scheduling the shows to running the vMix broadcast. Tess asked Tom to join the show to help out and the broadcast was pretty much hilarious! I have it posted for fun below!
